Participants will learn that anger is a good and natural emotion and what to do about it when anger becomes a problem.
The program utilizes the PCR (Prevention, Containment and Resolution) Anger Management Workbook by Dr. Ron Potter-Efron, Director of the Anger Management Center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin
By taking responsibility for your own actions and exploring options in problem-solving skills, you will increase your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Compassion, empathy and forgiveness are taught as vital elements in the anger management process.
As Dr. Potter-Efron states,
“the goal is to learn how to use your anger well.”
Anger Management: It’s a Family Thing is a twelve-week course designed for young people.
Its goal is to teach self-acceptance and how to grow towards becoming independent, self-sufficient, productive and non-violent humans.
