About Yellow Umbrella
The Yellow Umbrella Exchange Club Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and depends on donations and fundraising to support its mission.
Our Mission: "Dedicated to improving family life and preventing child abuse and neglect through education, social service and community awareness."
Yellow Umbrella is an approved provider for court ordered cases through the 18th & 19th Judicial Circuit Court and case management through Community Based Care of Brevard dba/Brevard Family Partnership.
We are also proud to receive funding and support from The United Way, please contribute and support the United Way in their current campaign "Just One More", your support allows us to continue meeting your needs.
At Yellow Umbrella, our commitment to preventing child abuse starts with educating the community. Some of the many services and programs that we offer are Education in Parenting Skills, Adult and Youth Anger Management
Family Violence Prevention, Family Stabilization for divorce and custody, In-home Parent-Aides, Spanish career and life coaching, teen mentoring, training, workshops, community awareness, community resource donations, such as utility assistance, food, clothing, diapers
formula, car seats and household items. Yellow Umbrella is also an approved provider for CBATC assistance to Vocational Rehabilitation receipents and can provide general business start up information and job assistance. Through our United Way
Funded program, we are located in the Brevard Workforce Development Centers, two days each week in Cocoa and Palm Bay. Please call 321-723-2927 for additional information or assistance.
Parent Education - Group Setting
12 week course / $15 per class/one person, couples discount (Waived if CBCB/BFP authorized). Includes topics of empathy, development, expectations, discipline and punishment. Course fulfills requirements of 18th & 19th Judicial Circuit Court and CBCB/BFP case plans.
Parent Education - In-Home Setting
- 12 session Parenting classes held one-to-one in the home due to child care, transportation, or illness. Referrals accepted through CBCB/BFP, DCF and area care providers. Private sessions are available. Call to schedule and for payment arrangements, course can be provided for free if qualifications are met.
Anger Management
– 12 week course, group setting / $15 per class / Course fulfills 18th & 19th Judicial Circuit Court requirements. Includes topics of accountability, dealing with stress/anger in self/spouse/children, and family violence. Can be taught in-home, course can be provided for free if qualifications are met.
