Parent Education Program

Through these classes the parent is empowered with new skills increasing the opportunity to raise an independent, emotionally healthy child.  

Classes focus on:

• Empathy
• Listening skills
• Problem solving
• Child development
• Understanding stress
• Giving encouragement
• Positive communication
• Discipline v punishment
• Cooperation v Obedience
• Effective discipline methods

Facilitators are certified through an approved parent education training program. Adults completing the 12-week course will receive a certificate of completion

Youth Anger Management - It’s a Family Thing 

New Classes begining July 16th.  Tuesday Nights @ 6:00pm - 8:00pm
A 12-week, 24-contact hours course offering insight into the causes of anger; utilizing the PCR method (prevention, containment and resolution) curriculum for effective anger management by Dr. Ron Potter-Efron. Department of Juvenile Justice approved.  Registration Form Click Here

In Home Parent Aide Program



(Research based model providing:)

Intensive in-home services to families who may be at risk for child abuse or neglect
Case management includes parenting skills, parent-child bonding, child development, health, nutrition, home management and problem solving.

Adult Anger Management

Taught one on one.  A 8 week, 16-contact hours course offering insight into the causes of anger; utilizing the PCR method (prevention, containment and resolution) curriculum for effective anger management by Dr. Ron Potter-Efron.

A unique advocacy program assists the Latino community in overcoming the barriers of language and culture.
