How Does Yellow Umbrella Help Prevent Child Abuse?
At Yellow Umbrella, our commitment to preventing child abuse starts with educating the community. Some of the many services and programs that we offer are:
PREVENTION EDUCATION:
Parent Education – 12 week course / $90 single / $150
couple (Waived if CBCB authorized). Includes topics of empathy,
development, expectations, discipline and punishment. Course fulfills
requirements of 18th Circuit Court and CBCB case plans.
Accelerated Parent Education - 5 week course/ $120
single (Waived if CBCB authorized) Course fulfills requirements of 18th
Circuit Court and CBCB case management plans. Cohort enrollment.
Pre-registration required. NEXT CLASS BEGINS JULY 11, 2007
In-Home Parent Education - 12 session Parenting classes
held one-on-one in the home due to child care, transportation, or
illness. Referrals accepted through CBCB and DCF. Private sessions
available. Call to schedule and for fee.
Anger Management – 12 week course / $90 / Course
fulfills 18th Circuit Court requirements. Includes topics of
accountability, dealing with stress/anger in self/spouse/children, and
family violence.
